  • api is interpreted by many as web api
    • time to accept it, doesn't make it right though
  • also coding as web coding
  • tools that don't tell you what they're doing especially when they fail, it's an ecosystem for the paranoid and insecure
  • wasteful so-called manual testing
  • expensive and typically manual universal test harness instead of automated ad-hoc ones
